    Hello,

I have an older HP Mini netbook that I am trying to clean out and set up as our iTunes sever & storage. One of our kids has moved on to a regular laptop and the netbook has been unused for more than a year.

I ran a series of Windows updates and deleted what I thought were unused program files. However, the display then disappeared. I did a Restore from the cmd prompt and was able to open in Safe Mode. I then reinstalled the Windows updates and it seems to run normally now.
I have uninstalled iTunes and the previously running Avira. I will reinstall an updated version of iTunes and Avira (or a better Anti Virus?) once all is clear.

I have completed the Read & Run. If someone would be so kind as to give the logs a quick perusal and let me know if all is clean so that I can proceed.

    With much thanks.

    Your logs are clean.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. You can uninstall RogueKiller and HitManPro.
    2. Go back to step 4 of the READ ME and renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it.
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If running Vista or Win 7, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    6. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders
related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link

    Thanks so much TimW!

I do appreciate you taking the time to go through those logs for me - boring, I am sure.

Should I toggle system restore at this point?

    Thanks again!
