Quick Laptop Power Issues

Battery is completly dead, won't charge...



... the computer won't work with just the AC Adapter either...



Just one minute it was working, went to the store, came back and it was dead...



Tried the wiggle test on the ac adapter... nothing...



Already replaced the ac adapter thinking that was it... nothing...



The only thing that it's doing is giving me is the red light blinking that it's dead when the battery is connected...



I heard that sometimes the power "intake" (or whatever you call that receives the ac adapter) could come loose on the inside and would need to be replaced or resodered...



... but I've spent over an hour unscrewing everything trying to figure out how to get to that part of the laptop with no luck...



Can anyone suggest anything? Or would know how to get to that part if that's the problem?

Some notebooks are a pain to pull down. They put hidden screws in just to mess with us I think.
Just keep removing screws that look like they connect the top and bottom halves of the case (some will possibly just hold a component). Often the keyboard will need to be removed as there is screws under there.
Oh there are often different length screws too so lay them all out in order as you remove them.

 

Did you try removing the battery and then connecting the power adapter? Sometimes when folks leave the laptop running with the power adapter it kills the battery and wont allow the machine to power up.
