Quick Launch Buttons

My Quick Launch Buttons won't let my notebook hibernate. What can I do to change this problem? Is it possible to just remove the program?

I don't really understand your question?

 

I don't believe laptops are set to Hibernate by default. It needs to be set via Control Panel -> Performance and maintenance -> Power options. On the Hibernate Tab, check the box to enable Hibernation, then on the Power Schemes tab set amount of time before it goes into Hibernate. I don't know what you mean quick launch buttions but if your using them or the mouse (pad) you system will not go into hibernation.

 

The only quick launch buttons I know of, are the ones that you can use near the START button.

 

Thanks, I will try it. For those who don't understand what Quick Launch Buttons is...it's a program on my computer and I don't even understand it or why it is on my computer, but I am afraid of uninstalling it.

 

Quick Launch, as theefool pointed out, are the icons near the Start button.

Unless you post the exact programs name or what it does, simply posting Quick Launch buttons makes just about everyone think of the icons near the Start button.

 

So the question is....How do I get them to let my notebook computer to hibernate when all the settings are for hibernation, but the quick launch buttons won't let it hibernate? There is also a Quick Launch Buttons icon on my desktop.

 

How do you know its the "quick launch" buttons causing your notebook NOT to hibernate? Icons or Shortcuts couldn't be cause that.

 

Because a sign comes up saying that Quck Launch Buttons are prohibiting my computer from hibernating. That is how I know it is quick launch
