Paging file Error how does it happen.

And is there are any way to fix it.

I basically went into my Advance settings and adjusted my VRam back too 0 i had up too 24,000 on 3 Drives.

Any reasons way my Page file could get errors even though i do not have any virus's or malware on my computer.

do a sfc /scannow at the run menu to check your system files. I have never heard of any one having good luck messing with or adjust either there page file and or virtual memory settings, maybe put it back to windows auto manage and see if it helps?

Well it seems to be working fine now i had it adjusted back too No paging file and i do not seem to be getting any errors now.

Is it better to have paging file or is it better to have no paging file i mean i all ready got 8 gigs of ram.So do i need at lest 8 gigs of paging or zero paging.

Why mess with it? I have never, never ever had to change the default let windows manage it, and never have had an issue.

I've seen problems fixed and Windows' ability to run more user programs increased by taking control over the paging file(s).

You may have disk errors on one of the drives in an area that the 8GB page file was sitting on. Full chkdsk on all drives is needed, SFC on the System drive. Use the drive maker's bootable utilities to check for hardware errors.

If it was my rig, I'd set 1GB on the System drive and 4092MB on the next fastest drive (this leaves the 3rd drive for a scratch file for programs like Photoshop).

Well i think its my Cd/Rom that is causing the issue i don't know way its not that old may be about a year.I had it working now its not in my computers drivers list.

Hmm, something else might be at play here: PSU failing, malware?

No malware i did move a few cables around about 30mins ago i think my one 80gig is bad its not giving me error with Cd rom

I have CD Rom that is a ATA and a 80gig that is a ATA

    And Two Sata HD's

Now my windows is running on my 160gig Sata HD and i have two 80's for Extra space.

I took off the 80 gig ATA and i do not seem to be getting any Stop errors.

And i now i do not have any malware / virus i scab daily and clean with ASC 5 daily so i am pretty sure i do not have any.

I found out that when i was moving stuff around i messed up my ATA HD pin got broken off so that was the cause of my error i think that is the only bad thing about ATA is them little Cable pins are very easy to break.
