As an up and coming geek i would like to know something. I always have and always will be a Intel fan. why i am not really sure but i am and i can't change that. But my question is about the socket type. LGA775 and the 478. I am sure someone out there knows which is better and why, and that is wht i would like to know. Thanks alot.

The main difference, apart from the number of pins, is that it removes these pins from the processor itself to the motherboard, hence the Acronym LGA- Land Grid Array.

It also has better power distribution and can offer a higher FSB.
