I got a Dell Inspiron Lappy 5150 at home with XP on it that someone gave me. I had to do a repair on XP due to it not starting right, and then I noticed that I needed to install some drivers for the network card, etc.

I downloaded those onto a USB, but when I tried to install them, it said "Unable to open...."

After awhile I noticed that my XP install was on the D: drive and that the C: drive was an unformatted partition.

Is it possible that it couldn't install due to it looking for the C drive, but not seeing it?
