    Hello again peeps...

Does anyone know of a free application which runs from a bootdisk which can tell e about my motherboard? I'm trying to fix an HP, and the BIOS tells me nothing except the time and the CPU fan speed, pretty much. I need to know my motherboard details, because I want to get a BIOS update. I don't have an operating system (don't ask...) so I need something like Aida32 or Belarc advisor, but which runs off a boot disk.

Also, does anybody know of a similar app which I can use to run some tests on my moterboard? I think it might be broken, but the memory's fine and I don't know how to test anything else...

No no, you missed my point... This is a useful app, but it runs in Windows!

I need an app like this that can run from a bootdisk, something based on a tiny linux or dos kernel so I can run it on a computer with no OS installed.

Or did I miss the point? Is there a bootdisk component to this app or something?
