~Quick Question with SimCity3000unlimited

I'm trying to get the game and it says it only runs on 95/98( NT and 2000 not supported)...so I was really bummed about it. Then I'm flipping through some old forums and I stumble upon somebody who has SC3000Unlimited in their Win XP. I ask you...does anyone have this game and play it on XP? Does it play well? And a quick note...Is SimCity4 Deluxe edition better than 3000???

I already have GTA VC running on here, do u think I can still fit SC3000unlimited or SimCity4 DE and get decent performance??

Coool, so 3000Unlimited works on Xp, but not 3000 ? I'm trying to decide which is better SC4 or 3000, but I've played 3000 before and REALLy enjoyed it, and yeh I couldnt get a new terrain going either...? I was hoping SC4 would fix that but i dont know yet. Thanks for your reply !

OK you need to enable the program to work for xp/2000.

To do so, install as normal, then browse to the folder in your start menu, then right click on the game icon, choose properties then the compatibilty tab. Select run this program for windows 2K or xp then click ok.

Kaula, the reason for your problem is most probably drivers for the video card.

 

From My Own Experiance From Trying To Get Interstate 76 (Which I No Longer Have), To Work On Xp Sp2 Is That Not All Older PC Games Will Work In Compatilbilty Mode.

 

Simcity 4 DELUXE (inclds expansion) = 30$ new, simcity 4 solo about 14.99$

 

Thx everyone for the responses I found that my sister had SC3000Unlimited on her Win Me, so I brought it home today and it worked !! I was playing it just earlier ! Man i love that game. It didnt need to be checked for compatiablity either, but I asked because my Cd-Rw drive is damged right now(working on getting me a new one) so I used my dvd-rw drive and its working great. Thanks everyone for theyre quick responses! Hope someone posts theyre likes/dislikes of SimCity4 and how it compares to 3000 because Im getting that one next.

Another quick question peeps, I cant seem to find a Simolean cheat code, other than the "Call cousin Vinnie" code which only works once, Ive googled a couple of sites, but the codes they give me dont work ! Anyone have a Simolean Cheat code for Simcity3000unlimited ?????????

What i love about SC4, customization of roads/rails/elevated/avenues/streets/ground highways etc... The expanded AI and networks you can create are simply awesome, and with the expansion you get even more customization in and around.

I've been playing since Simcity 2000

 

I've never been into, and can never understand why people enjoy simulation games.

I have enough trouble looking after myself.
