How do you use vb6 to merge 2 access files. I'm writing a database program that is going to run on more than 1 computer so the original file will be kept on a network driv and copied to the computers that are using it but when they make a change to the file like adding a record I will need to have the file merged with the old one how will I do that?

Do yourself a HUGE favor and don't use the JET databases for anything. If you want to use Access for a front end, that's fine. I've done it and it works pretty well for limited numbers of users (I had 30). But I used an ADP (Access Data Project) and connected to a SQL Express database and performance was SOOOOO much better. The best thing is, it's one database server one machine. No more having to sync database files. Trust me, if you can do it, doooooo it!
