That laptop should be able to run the games you mentioned, as long as you don't try to max out the graphics settings.

You're welcome and thank you for looking and the compliment.:)

Mimsy is very knowledgeable when it comes to gaming. I'm sure she'll be able to answer your question.:)

Start with Medium settings, or whatever the game defaults to. You can play around with the settings and increase shadows, AA, and others, as you like. When it starts to stutter, dial it back a notch and play on that level. When you're playing on a laptop, you have heat to think about as well... the harder your video card works the hotter it will run, and while it may be able to run your games just fine on high settings, you might end up running it far too hot for component comfort.

Of course, taking a moment to invest in a cooling pad would take care of that.

And no, I'm not a borogove. I'm the one who made the vorpal blade. ;)

to laura: btw if you like poetry at all i have a deviant art account under the name Greywin. I'll probably put you on my watchlist later.

to mimsy: i have a cooling pad but jhl90s love to overheat. when i play games i just remove the back casing from the laptop rofl. it was the only way i could get through dragonage and it hasn't overheated since lol. Ooo vorpal blade forging, lol I miss D&D its been so long.

    thanks and best wishes

if it helps, I have a Gateway FX 6860, you can look up the specs and tell it's a decent computer. I can't run SC2 on anything other than minimum, otherwise, my laptop overheats and shuts down.

Good thing I'm building a new desktop.

alright lovely laura you have been watched on deviant art

I can run the game on medium and high settings with a few lows and a few ultras. I have some fps issues when things get hairy but hell thats the price you pay for a good look.

gamefreak i heard there was a bug with starcraft 2 overheating laptops it didnt happen on mine but supposedly its quite common. Something about excessive fps on static screens and other things of that nature which i dont fully understand. you have to go into the variables.txt folder which works as a starcraft 2 sort of ini file and type some stuff in which keeps the fps rate from going insane and burning out your laptop. the details are on this websight http://www.tgdaily.com/hardware-features/50908-blizzard-codes-starcraft-2-overheating-fix

hope that helps, btw i need more sc 2 friends so add me my name is DrCool
