    ... now there's a surprise!

Anyone know how to program, and edit drivers? I still can't get my Trust Easyscan 19200 drivers to load with W7 ~the USB drivers were for XP.

Could I open the existing drivers and edit them so that W7 can recognize them?

does windows 7 install anything to get this to work? try running windows update manually from the control panel, and see if it lists them.

It recognizes the hardware in Devices ( name, manufacturer, version number etc ).... but won't load the drivers. This is what I'm asking "if the OS knows what it is attempting to talk to"... it MUST be possible to give it an answer.

    Do you have 32-bit or 64-bit W7?

Have you tried installing Legacy devices (Device Manager > highlight computer name > Add legacy hardware) ?
