What program do you use to edit the programs your computer runs when it starts up? I've been asking around because I've forgotten its name and can't remember it but so far noone knows.

Windows xp open up control panel and follow instructions in plodr post.
Windows vista/7 click on start then type in msconfig and then click startup tab

That's the way I do it.

It is NOT recommended to use msconfig as a long term solution. It's okay for testing to see what is causing a problem but not as a permanent solution.

If you have CCleaner installed, you can use Tools | Startup.
