   for my mobo's AGP slot it says 1x AGP 8X/4X and for my graphics card it says AGP 4X/8X will that work because its backwards?

   The 1x AGP = the motherboard has (1) AGP slot...the 4x/8x = the agp slot will accomidate a 4x or an 8x agp graphic card!!
