I am wondering how safe it is to set if up for auto update.

It would simplify my life on so many levels but concerned if it safe.

Well, Quicken comes from Intuit and I think Intuit is a pretty trustworthy company. They make various financial softwares (Quicken, QuickBooks, tax programs, etc.) which, of course, require very good security and I don't recall hearing about any issues regarding the online security of their products. So, I'd say you can set it for auto update and not worry about it.

It uses the passwords you use for your online banking. Quicken itself is very safe and I"ve been using it for years including the autoupdate.

Just like anything else, it's as safe as you yourself are. If you use proper security, you will be fine.
