Radeon 9250 Failiure

Hey, I've got a feeling that my graphics card (An AGP Radeon 9250 256Meg ) is on its way out My problem is that now whenever I want to play a game in 1024x768 resolution or higher the screen is just blank. It might be the same on 800x600 aswell. When I don't understand though is how my desktop is still displayed at 1024x768 and there no trouble at all Any ideas?

 

Sorry about the double post but I have also noticed a very sligh lagg when watching full screen videos. I don't suppse you could really call it lag as suck but it just skip a frames every few seconds.

 

Well basically if the card is giving you these indications chance is it's not really gonna do much else but the basics. Every failing Video Card always has different symptoms. My suggestion woul dbe just to get a new video card asap.

Anything drastic like gaming or a stress test might put it in it's grave lol.

 

heh, well I think I may of fixed the problem, I fiddled with my fixel shader settings and so far so good. However, I think I might get myself a new card anyway, I've been thinking about it for a while and thishas pushedme to go for it
