hey guys, hope you can help me with this

yesterday i bought a ati randeon 9600 xt 128mb, and when i plugged it in and installed everything etc. the system wouldnt boot up right. when it got to the part where you normally instert your password the monitor just went standby. now, since then i have installed the latest omega drivers, and i am able to boot up normally, but only if i disable all hardware accelerations to my graphics card. even when i just use the basic accelerations the monitor just goes standby.

btw, i have looked all over the internet and several forums for a whole day (literally), and i have found that others have had this problem too, but i didnt find a real solution to it anywhere. if anyone could provide me with a solution to this problem it would be very greatly appreciated

is it connected properly? can your psu handle it? a full system spec would help too.

Did you un-install your old GFX drivers before installing the Omega drivers?

IF you are going to be using non-Ati drivers over the official drivers then this is well worth a read http://www.omegadrivers.net/ati/ati_faq.php
