   I have the same problem with a HP zd8157 - zd8000 series with the x600 graphics chip. Its as good as gold without the AtI driver and running at 1024 x 768 but I cannot get it to run at 1440 x 900 with an ATI driver. Did you manage to solve it on the end? A really simple driver that enables it to run at the proper resolution would be fine, I do not need hardware gaming acceleration.
