Radeon x1900xtx

so i was playing kotr just now, twice the game lagged like crazy and i heared a lot of squealing from the video card. pausing or minimizing the game made it stop. but i was wondering what is happening and how do i fix this? is the video card a defect? i just got it over a week ago.

 

Squealing to me only means one thing, either something is rubbing the fan or the fan its self is bad. ed

 

Makes sense try removing the side cover and playing the game again or run a benchmark and put the system under load and see if the noise becomes more apparent.

 

well it seems like it is coming from the card. tommorow im going to remove the card and look more closely, if i see something in the way ill try to move it. if nothing and it continues making the noise i am calling newegg.
