radeon x850xt does not boot after installation

    I just got an x850xt I insert it into the correct slots plug in the 8pin connector and power on pc, but I do not get a display, but the card is humming and fan iss spinnning. any ideas? do i need an ati board to use an ati grfx card? I have an abit kn8 sli.

    Does your motherboard have onboard video and is it disabled?

    I have managedto get display, but if I change the resolution or refresh rate the card crashesand systempowers off instantly.
