Yea definately use ati tool. When overclocking find out what your memory can be overclocked to first without any artifacts, then do your core. Best bet is to let each one run for a few hours to make sure that there are no artifacts produced.

Which memmory are you talking about. I am pretty sure it is the Graphic cards memmory, however, I want to be certain.

The memory that I am talking about is the memory on your video card. Once you download the ati tool, it will show you what your current core frequency is and what your current memory frequency is on your video card. Over to the left you will see two buttons, on says find max core and the other one says find max mem. What these buttons do is gradually increase the frequency of either your core or your memory. As it increases it will be constantly looking for artifacts, which are errors caused by the overclocking. You want to push the find max mem button first and let ati tool run for a few hours. This will give you the most stable frequency for your memory to be overclocked at. The reason you do the memory first instead of the core is because you will see the biggest gains from overclocking your memory compared to your core. Once you have run the find max mem button for a few hours, then run the find max core. It will do the same thing but it will be increasing your core frequency until errors are found. Once both tests have run you will know what frequencies to use, and you will want to save them. You will see the save button towards the top.

I downloaded and used this tool and here are my results:

    Core Mem
    Stock 378.0 337.5
    Max 381.0 355.91

    Are these any good?

the numbers arent great, but with stock cooling that is too be expected. The memory wasnt too bad, but the core was definately lacking. When you overclock the core it generates a lot more heat. If you are looking to do more overclocking i would suggest getting an arctic silencer.

do I have to have ATI drivers or will Omega drivers do?

I am having troubles with AGP speed, if I turn it on My windows does not boot, goes to blue screen and restars (it also resets the agp speed to off)
Now I messed with it for a while, but never got it to work.
    :(

When you say AGP speed do you mean as in 2x/4x/8x? or are you talking about fastwrites?

    Yup

    It is off right now.
If I turn it on, blue screen comes up and with illegal address message. I have to reboot at which point my AGP speed is back to off.

What are your system specs? Are you saying that you AGP cant be run at even 2x?

hmmmm, how old is your motherboard? i would go on asus site and look to see if there are any compatability issues. Another thing i would try is to turn fastwrites off and see if that does anything. If you have a friends computer that you could try putting your video card in that would help too, to see if you can run the card at 8x or not.

Motherboard is 2 months old, It is a good motherboard it has all modern stuff, like SATA, wireless, fast writes all that. I did go to my friends house and yes the graphic card did work.
I will check the website next. Maybee I need new drivers for the MB.

I would recomend ATI tools like others said.I have a soltek sl-865 pro 2 fgr mobo, radeon 9800 pro oc'd to 420/378 .if you want to go that high though i would add zaleman vga heatsinks and artic cooling fan&exhaust to it as i did.[a very stable overclock 4 me is410/368no problems there].along with a intel 3.0 prescott oc'd to 3.3 w/800fsb, 512x2 o.c.systems ddr400 matched memory cas2 w/heatsinks,sound blaster 2 zs gamer ,enermax 485w dual rail psu. my stock scores on 3Dmark were 6157 after oc ing the cpu and the 9800vga card my scores now sit at 6673 as of noon today.i am happy although i am not sure how good those scores are compared to any one else.
