    Disclaimer:
So i'm not useless as far as tech skills go however i'm not the best and brightest. So bear with my lack of knowledge. Also i'm at work so i can't provide you the system specs. however, if you think them critical ill toss all that up on a subsequent post.

    Problem:
So i bought and installed a raedon HD3450 Card this weekend and as far as i can tell its working fine. However, post install I have no sound. I'm not sure why but following the install it just wasn't working. So i checked the manual and web page for known issues adn there was none. Except for one breif mention of what to do had no sound after install which was make sure you set your sound preferences to use the new device (which i did). Again nada no results.
Next I decided to download the newest drivers and restart my machine again no dice. However, after the restart I did notice a that their was a problem with my old driver/ device under my sound devices so i downloaded the newest window drivers and again no dice... So after the restart i delleted the old windows device because i had seen that as a solution to similar problems on various web sites. Again No dice.
Next i made sure that all my old NVIDA software was off the box and it was so no potential for conflict.
So today i downloaded a Software package from ADI and was hoping for something that would allow me to play music / sound form the package. however, again no dice. The manual is worthless not even a mention of any known conflict.:cry

So i come to you guys wondering where is should go next . I'm wondering if i should prod around in the System start up and see if the default sound is shut off. Any how thanks in advance ill check this on lunch and after work daily. :major

basically i went into bios and checked my audio, because it was set to Auto it was using my new video card which is audio capable. Hence i switched it to Enabled and what would you know i have Sound. ( You get there by restarting you computer and hitting F1) if any one else has this issue hopes this helps
