Raid 0 with storage

Hi ,
Hey just wondering if anyone can help I am getting 2/ 74 gig rapters to put in raid 0 but i also have 2 /120gig seagates i would like to use as storage drives.
can this be done? my board has 4 sata connectors on the mother board and all drives will be sata ready? any help is apreciated

 

sure you can do that, i would suggest installing the os on the raid synced drives, but you prolly could have guessed that one. just make the 2 120 gig hd's slave drives, and you should be good.

might i add i love the raptor drives, and in about 1 month im gonna get the samething. i have a 200 gig wd right now =/, but just as i suggested im going to use it as storage later.

 

There is no performance increase,with two raptors.

Old article, but same results. Perhaps my mind was deceiving myself. I retract all my statements about raid 0 for games. But, not for video editing or something similar where sustained rates are a plus.....

But, I recently read that someone setup a raid config on their floppy drives and their memory sticks. Two sepereate raids....
