I recently set up a RAID 1 configuration and copied my active C IDE hard drive to it. Everything seems to be fine except that I cannot get the new RAID configuration to complete a boot up. It opens all the way to Windows checking settings, but will not open. If I keep the orignal C drive connected it opens fine, and everything seems to be collecting the new F drive. Any thoughts???

Are you using windows disk manager to set up RAID or an add-in IDE card?

I installed the hard drives using the SATA connections on my board, and I have VIA Raid software that recognized them.

Are you saying that your motherboard has an onboard RAID controller? Or, is it strictly a software RAID solution?

My motherboard has SATA as well as IDE It recognizes them fine and the drives are sync. I just cant unplug the current C: drive and have the system complete loading
