Im having an issue finding info about a RAID setup I want to do. 1st off i have 1 320GB HD which has been my primary for several years. Im wanting to use this as my primary drive. I have a 1 TB HD that im wanting to use as the mirror in RAID1.

Is this feasible: use the 320GB as primary and then format the 1 TB as a 320 GB and a ~680GB and use the 320 portion of the 1 TB drive as the mirror and still have access to the un mirrored 680?

I know the easy fix is have 2 of same size drive but i dont.

    THanks

I am fairly certain that you aren't able to do that. I think you would be able to set up a RAID 1 mirror, but you would forfeit the extra space in the 1TB drive. You would essentially end up with 1 320Gb drive.
