raid and NON matching drives

    I have an MSI P35Neo2FR mobo.
    I already have a samsung spinpoint 501LJ and have the chance to get a Samsung SpinPoint F3 500GB at a very cheap price. I would like to know from anybody that has 2 hd the same size like these are (500gb) if that will work or do they both have to be the same model number ?
