RAID configuration ???

How do i create a raid array if the master drive is an SATA hard drive, and the other drive is an IDE hard drive ?

I wish to set this up so if the master drive fails I can just connect the other drive to make the system work again, without losing any of my data.

it is possible if you have IDE+SATA controller, but as far as i know such kinds are not produced.

This can be done if you use an adapter for the IDE HD to plug into the SATA port on the MB/controller. Be sure to 'ghost' the main drive first so that both drives have identical images. Here's a link to the adapter you'll need:
