I recently took my old cpu, mb, and graphics card and converted it into a media center with a blueray drive.

My system is a AMD Athlon 3800 x2 64 bit running Vista 64 Ultimate
2 Gb of Ram (DDR, jsut ddr no ddr2 or anything)
and currently a Geforce 6800 AGP (have an ATI Radon HD 3450 in the mail)

My question is would puting more ram in help me?? I have four slots all with 512mb sticks in there now so I would have to get some 1gb sticks of ddr1

My ram is the lowest score according to the windows experince, and all though performance isnt bad, its a slow at startup and every now and then it gets a slow.

I orderd a graphics card an ATI (see above), I'm ussally a Nivdia man but being I have an AGP slot, and I wanna do this on the cheap I bought an ATI. I bought the graphics card to help with blue rays since the 6800 doesnt meet minuim requirmetns all though it does play, jsut a little choppy at times.

One final note I'm using a DVi to HDMI cable to hook up to my 55" 1080i/720p tv. (My tv doesnt do 1080p so I ususally jsut watch in 720p insterad oif 1080i)

So would adding ram benefit me at all???
