RAM Bandwidth Efficiency

What does it all mean confused

Latency : 171 ns (477 cycles)
Bandwidth Efficiency Float : 39%
Bandwidth Efficiency Int. : 37%

doesnt look very efficient to me :cry

Its RDRAM PC800 by the way

 

not sure what it means either but PC800 ram is very very slow, my pc when i first built it three years ago it had PC3200.
to get from PC figures into MHz divide by 8
e.g.
PC800 = 800 / 8 = 100MHz
PC3200 = 3200 / 8 = 400MHz

fastest i've seen it go up to is PC8000, id advise if ur mobo can take it, upgrade your ram, go to crucial.com and choose memory advisor it should help

 

DDR and RDRAM are not the same thing, and don't use the same naming conventions.

PC800 runs at 800mhz.

 

oh sorry, i didnt read it properly my bad i thought it said DDR :banghead

 

I assume the latency is meant to be low
and the efficiencies high
but both are just a wild guess

I'll have to keep googling it, its only led me to inferior forums so-far
