I was wondering which would be more useful for a non-multitasker?
    3 512mb ramsticks running at 333 (166mhz) or
    2 512mb ramsticks running at 400 (200mhz) (dual-channel)

I agree if you have a 200mhz fsb and a dual channel motherboard,if not I;d just get the 2 sticks of 166 and go out for a beer with the money you have left over :)

I agree. Try and get some cas 2 latency ram aswell, its amazing the difference it makes, costs a bit more but its worth the money.... means you wouldn't be going the pub afterwards for that beer too.

At newegg Corsairs value select (runs at 200 but if your cpus at 166 itll run at 166) But Corsair has CAS 3 which is MORE money than CAS2.5..... which is what i buy... Same specs too cept its CAS 3 and CAS 2.5.....
