RAM gone missing

    I have one 512mb stick of ram in my computer but all of a sudden it dropped down to 480. What do I do. Thanks in advance for the help.

    h....Well windows does take a little bit say 1300 or so kb this may be it or it may be other resources . If you see the mem test at startup checking itself is this what your reffering to

    No...when I go to my control panel and device manager it tells me I have 480 but this always said 512 prior.

    Well, thats exactly 32mb.

    Sure its not onboard video taking it?

    Thats my gess ..maybe the CMOS got cleard activating the onboard video ...do you use the onbard video or do you use an adon card ??

    I have both an integrated and agp vid card on my motherboard. The integrated however is disabled.
