RAM & IE 7 Issues

The following is a thread that I posted in the Malware section and was asked to post it here. I had a Troj_Generic.ADV issues and solved them in the Malware section and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions regarding the info below.

"The only issues I still seem to be having is when it comes to having multiple programs open. I run out of RAM and need to reboot the system more often than usual. I also have issues when it comes to listening to online radio or other sounds. At times I get static, but once I reboot the computer it comes back. It just seems that the computer is not working as well as it did just a few months ago, before this all happened. I have also noticed in most cases these issues arise when IE is utilized. IE also freezes at certain times and I need to open another IE window to get the one frozen to start up again. Will disabling/enabling the system restore fix these issues or is there still something that needs to be done?"

You might want to check that your malware issue was completely solved. another thing you can try is to disable/uninstall any toolbars that ie may have installed, yahoo toolbar, google, etc...

You already had Win XP SP2 and did not need to run those steps. I recommend that you do not install Ad-Aware 2007 which came out long after those instructions at Microsoft were created.

This does not sound like a malware issue. It sounds more like hardware or software issues. You should follow up with this in the Software Forum as it seems related to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/225782

2 - 1GB of Ram (2G's total) is $46.00...do you recommend this instead of the 4?

How do I know what disable in the select start up?

How do I know what to uninstall in the add or remove programs?

Also, I just opened a IE window and a little pop up window opened up and said the following...
