Ram issue - will it work?

    Hi, I have a hp pavilion a6200n desktop that came standard with (2) 1GB ram chips.. PC would not boot, I took out Ram and (1) stick is GOOD & (1) stick is BAD..

    My question is, now that I removed the (1) Stick of bad ram will the PC operate ok with just (1) stick of 1GB ram (while the new replacement stick is ordered)?

    It may operate but you might find that it is a bit laggy. It will take longer to boot and you will find that you get the odd pause while things are going on. It shouldnt do any harm so if you can put up with the performance then you will be fine
