I start my PC Windows loads slow, games/multimedia run slow.

I switch off, move RAM to DIMM2+4 instead of DIMM1+3, turn on, it boots and runs great.

I restart my PC, back to step one, Windows loads slow, games/multimedia etc.

Why? I can't figure it out? I've taken 1 stick out and get same type of result.

    Geil 2gb 6400 RAM.
    Abit IP35-e Motherboard.

I take a stick of RAM out, or move it, it works on the first boot flawlessly and as soon as I restart I get this slow loading Windows and jerkiness in multimedia.

This might be related, when my RAM runs fine my clocks show legit speeds, this is what it looks like when the PC is all slow:

Any tips? I've done a memory test (memtest86) and had no errors.

    Thanks. :(

Are you sure you are reading the numbering of the RAM slots the right way around? :D Normally RAM likes to be in Slots 1 and 3, as you know. :major

I'd just leave them in where they work best, and put it down to a PC idiosynchrasy (sp?).
