Hi. I have a dell dimesnsion L800r. I currently have windows xp and 128mb ram. The memory specs are as follows for my pc:
    Memory
    Architecture non-ECC SDRAM 168-pin modules
    DIMM sockets two; gold contacts
    DIMM capacities 32, 64, 128, 256, and 512 MB
Minimum RAM 32 MB (64 MB for systems running Microsoft Windows NT)1
    Maximum RAM 512 MB
    Frequency 100 MHz
Clock cycle 10 ns (supports four clocks only)
    CAS latency three
    SPD revision 1.2
    Buffering unbuffered
    Voltage 3.3 V
    Data bus width 64 bits
    BIOS address F0000h
1 Video memory uses 1 or 2 MB of system memory (RAM). Total RAM reported is 1 or 2 MB less than RAM installed.

-- I want to know if this ram will be compatible with my computer. The part I'm not sure about is if my comp can be compatible with ecc ram. My chipset is intel 810e. I hope so b/c 512 mb ram is my maximum and this is what this auction if for. Thanks! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=6721394604&ssPageName=STRK:MEBI:IT

    Hi,

I don't think it will work, error checking is uasually for servers and some newer boards. Buying ram on ebay is hard and you have to know exactly what you need/want. In my experiance when I do find good ram on ebay it gets bid up to what I can buy it for at retail.
