RAM nolonger Dualed

I have to identical sticks of 512 RAM one in slot 1 the other in slot 3. Both were running dueled and in my computer the ram was registered at 2GB.
I had some problems with my computer with dodgy hardrives etc i got all that sorted out but now my rams only registering as 1GB. Any ideas how i can get it back to 2GB

If you have two sticks of 512, Well guess what, that's only 1gig.
You can only have what ya got, nothing more.

Running in dual channel doesnt double your ram size, 2 sticks of 512 in single channel is 1 gig total, 2 sticks of 512 in dual channel is still 1 gig total.
If you can run in dual channel, do so, there is a slight performance increase not a size increase!

 

i could have swore it said 2GB before, my heads goin in my old age lol
