    Hi,

This could be a silly question - but I have often wondered if RAM needs the sticker (that tells you its speed and size etc) removed from it in order for it to work properly?

Also how can I check if my RAM is working as I am having install problems and I hear there is some way of checking that your RAM is not the problem?

    thanks again.

    Ha Ha,
The sticker is used for two things, Info & Warranty, nothing else
Most memory has life time warranty, if you remove the sticker you risk loosing the warranty.

    You can test your memory
On MG front page, click on memory, are several mem testing apps.
    Here's one

Also double check with the malware section to be sure that your pc is not infected with malware that would most likly cause the slow down
    Jaza;)

thanks guys. im sorry for being a retard but can I run these memory checkers without an OS installed?

I am having difficulty installing XP (problem in the software forum) and was wondering if there was some way to check if my RAM is not the problem.
