    Hey all

I am building a new PC and I have decided on a mother board which offers support of

    Dual channel DDR2 667/ 533 -240pin

The main concern of mine is that the board will support future hardware advancements and while I appreciate that you can never guarantee this, all of the other specs on the board should be upgradeable for some time like for example it will support 1066 fsb and pci express etc.

My question is about the Ram - is the ram it supports fastest that is available now and at least for the near future?

Having a bit of trouble getting my head round the max speeds out at present

    Cheers

667 is not the fastest RAM speed currently available RAM speeds current range up to 1066mhz (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145030). As for the future on canot know for certian but DDR3 ram i expect should be released within a year but that is jsut from rumors i heard so dotn take my word for it.
