    I have a really basic question. Does RAM automatically clear everything out when you turn off the computer? Or does it save a little bit? If it does, how would you clear that? My friend and I were talking and we didn't know the answer.

    I mean does it like automatically lose and delete everything that was stored in it.

    Yes. When the computer shuts down, the memory (RAM) is erased.

    How about DRAM and SRAM? I heard that they retain a bit even after you power down.

    It's no exception, they both lose the data once the power is discontinued.
