I am adding memory to an old Compaq Presario 6415CL. I can use 2700/333 or 3200/400. Is there any real advantage for using one over the other? Price is the same.

the 3200/400 is faster than the 2700/333. Since they are the same price, go with the 3200. If all of your RAM is 3200, it will run at that speed. If you have both 2700 and 3200 RAM, your RAM will run at 2700

It will run at that speed, if the computer is capable of it. If not, the 3200 will clock down and run slower, so either way the faster memory should work. :)
