Ram

Hi

I just recently doubled my ram in my computer to 4GB, I read how to install it, and they said you just pop it in and thats it. But I was wondering if there is anything I need to do?, like is there some software, I should run to see if the ram is set up properly, because tbh my computer doesn't feel any faster than before.

Probably won't notice any unless you were using near max while running with 2GB.
Check System Properties and see how much it says is there.

 

I couldn't find a System Properties - maybe cause am using Vista - but found a System Information, this is what it says for my RAM:

Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 4.00 GB
Total Physical Memory 3.43 GB
Available Physical Memory 1.83 GB
Total Virtual Memory 7.08 GB
Available Virtual Memory 4.86 GB
Page File Space 3.73 GB

Does that look right to you?.

 

Installed Physical is your 4GB .

Hi,

Right click on MY COMPUTER, Left click PROPERTIES. Tells you at the bottom.

Hahaha ty. I only had Skype and IE open. Then for av/anti spyware stuff I have got Avira and Comodo Firewall.
