Ram ?

I have two 512mb ddr 3200 ddr ram.

but my computer is saying it is 2700 ddr ram...

what could be causeing this or is the memmory mislabled....on the stick.

I have no idea how or what could be causeing this. My computer is running fine but I'd like to know why if not fix what seems to be a deficiency in my machine.

 

what program is telling you that your memory is pc2700 and what speed is your memory running at?

 

Check your bios and make sure its running at 200mhz or ddr400.

 

This is not a deficiency in your machine. you likely have an Athlon XP processor with a 333mhz FSB. your motherboard is set to run the RAM in sync (1:1 ratio) with your FSB, keeping it at DDR333 or pc2700. you wont see a change if you adjust the RAM to run at DDR400.
