My friend wants to buy some ram for his comp.
I have a few questions to see if the ram fits in his comp.
He says he has DDR SDRAM but the ram says DDR400, does that make a difference?
One more thing, how do i check what PIN he has on his mobo?
    Thanks.

What you mean by DDR400 is actually PC3200 DDR RAM which run at 400MHz, also the full name for it would be PC3200 DDR SDRAM (meaning they are the same thing). As far as the PIN thing goes, you will need to be more clear, what are your referring to as PIN or what is it for?

Is the same thing, = 184 pin
If the MOBO supports DDR it's 184 pin.
Not all DDR supporting MOBO's support 400 fsb, but if not the mobo should run the mem at the speed the mobo is rated at.

    DDR 2, now that's different = 240 pin.
