Okay, I'm not sure where to begin. I started a thread here http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=95848.

What is happening is that my wecam freezes my PC with my CPU at 100%. If I take out my (2) 256MB cards and leave the (1) 128MB card the freezing stops. So at this point I just leave my tower open because I can't live on 128MB of RAM.

All of the cards are 133MHz, CL3. Someone asked if I had accidentally used notebook RAM. How would I know?

Thank you. Let me know what other info I can provide. :)

how is it possible to insert notebook ram into the pc slot? how much slots do you have? may it's worse to replace it into the other one and see what will happen?

I'm assuming you are NOT taking the RAM out while the PC is running???

And, you wouldn't be able to fit notebook RAM into any slot on your motherboard, so don't worry about that.

Of course not. I turn the pc off when handling any hardware inside the tower.
    Okay, cool.

are the (2) 256mb sticks the same brand? try one at a time.

you say in your sig you have 640mb of ram, try just the 2x256 by themselves, without the 128.

Okay, so I tried the (2) 256MB RAM without the 128 and it still froze. But I have tried 1 at a time, and they all work fine, no freezing, when just 1 is in. Does that me that I have 2 bad slots? And if so, does that mean that I need a new motherboard?

I tried putting 2 in, and skipped a slot, and it still froze (fyi).
