I have a Windows 7 laptop at a day program. I think it has an HDD, not a SSD, and I want to install a RAM drive on it. The problem is that I don't have the administrator password. :( Thanks to your help, I am working on reinstalling Win7. Is there a way to install a RAM drive on it as it is? If so, how? I have RAM drive software but don't remember the name or version.

My advice is fix the PC so you don't have to do these crazy work a rounds just to use it. Focus on fixing it, not finding a way to use it as is.

It is my computer, but it is pre-owned, and the person who gave it to me was not the previous owner and didn't know the password. :(

You know there are a million Google results to reset a password on a PC? many free - boot from a linux , booting into recovery and using the command line, and so on...
