I want to go from 768 mbs of RAM to 1.76 Gbs. I read something about hibernation issues with large amounts of RAM. Any comments?

you might get sum performance issues with RAM that varied in capacities but it should be OK.

you may be better off buying a whole new 2 gig kit thats matched to avoid compatibility issues with dual channel and such

Do you know if your PC or Laptop can take the extra 1gb of ram, eg. does it have enough spare slots?

What is your motherboards make and version or if OEM PC as in DELL, HP etc what is the model number/version?

as to the Hibernate issue http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=330909

Most Motherboards can go up to 4GB. I have mine in 2GB. Go with the Corsair XMS TwinX. I think they're great! It depends on what Motherboard you have.

I have a Dell. The limit is 4 Gbs. The reason I am asking is that I use hibernate all the time and I've never had more than a Gb installed. I just want to know if anyone has a lot of memory and regularly uses hibernate.
