ran BIOS hard disk self test for vista

    when i try to log in windows vista it lets me but then goes to black screen , i also went into phoenix BIOSset up to run hard disk test estimated tim 48 min. the after 20 second says test status #10008- replace hard disk ???????

    have you tried to run check disk to see if there are drive errors?

    I have just looked up the provided error code on line and it appears that your hard drive is about to fail SMART checks, or has already failed SMART checks. This has rendered the drive unusable and I would recommend replacing the hard drive.
