My computer randomly freeze up on me once every couple of days. I know its not a memory problam, checked with memtest86.

    Any suggestions anyone?

Hi Raizel, can you post your current system specs please? It will help a lot in working out a soloution to your problem. Do you get any signs of your computer freezing up before it happens? Also, does it seem to happen during a particular program? Do you know what temperatures your system is running at?

Answer all these and we'll be one step closer to solving your problem.

    P.S Welcome To MajorGeeks :)

Thats a good start, now how about you download a free diagnostics program from here and you can provide the answers Bobo and myself would like:

    EVEREST Home Edition:

    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4181

Expand Computer and select Sensors, this will give temps, CPU Fan RPM's and Volts send info on this. Also immediately after your next "crash" restart and enter your BIOS (by tapping "delete" at the first start up screen) and have a look at a section called PC Health (or something to that effect) and take a mental note of temps, CPU Fan RPM's and Volts.

Also from this app you will be able to obtain more technical specs on your sys to help us help you begin to diagnose your prob.

Thats excellent, your temps/volts/RPMs' all look good. Next start-up goto your BIOS and just take a mental note of your "PC Health" (temps/volts/RPMs') and then compare with EVEREST when you get into the OS just to make sure they are similar. Have you tweaked the volts on your FSB?!? Slight OC?

They alll seem to match up and nope, I havn't tweaked with anything to do with hardware.

Well the "PC Health" looks good have you gone to and completed the mailware/spyware removal procedure. It may be a case of gremlins messing with your world. Have a look at this and although it takes time I do it 2-3 months to maintain sys security/stability and speed:

Also are you using a particular application when this occurs??

Yep FF has been rumored to suffer memory leaks (search for if you want more info) and I would definately close it when not in use.
