Random lockup need some pointers

Here is what I'm experiencing.

I get random lockups. I think It's due to a HD issue as when It locks up it isn't a complete lockup. Only one or two programs stop responding but the rest do that I have open but when I go to restart or open a new program it then gets slower and locks up.

I have reinstalled the issue to rule out the possibly of software issues and it still does it.

A Intel 40GB SSD and a WD Green 1 TB drive

I think my SSD could be failing and causing my system to lock up or my other drive could be failing since I run programs form both or possibly of my NB failing or some incompatibility.

I'm going to try and use my 1 TB drive and boot from that since I have windows installed on it and see if it happens then.

Any ideas or pointers?

 

People I know don't like the Green WDs as it slows everything for them by spinning down. I can't say for sure but booting to the WD could give you a result.

 

Well I'm going to run windows on this green drive and see what happens.

I tested for bad RAM and it passes with memtest86+

Prime95 for two hours the CPU is fine.

My pc was fine idle for a few hours but when I got on and started using my SSD it locked up. Like using firefox and opening programs installed on the SSD.

Hope my SSD isn't bad I guess I could run dban on it and contact Intel and get a replacement if it is. 3 Year warranty on it.

 

I found the issue

SSD is causing me to crash.

Going to get a replacement from Intel

 

Jeez man, I better keep a tight watch on mine then.
