Random web pages wont load

Hello all,
Ok, first let me explain this problem as best I can. I just recently built a new PC The only part from the old PC is the HD. It's a budget build but i'm proud of it anyway. It runs all my games at max settings with ease and i have lots of room for upgrades later down the road, more ram, better cpu, ect, ect. Was havin trouble with my attachment so i just c/p'd it.

Ok i got my new pc together everything seemed to be fine untill i tried to surf the web. Random sites dont load. At first i didnt notice cause sites i normally visit load. (Google, Paypal and others) But then after a while i saw that some sites arn't loading or taking a long time to load or only the banner comes up and nothing else. for exzample. I can visit newegg but i cant login to my account. same for paypal. as for this site, the home page loads but the forums only loads a banner.

So i started reading and i tried some things. I reset the winsock thingy, I reset the dns or somthing like that. I also reset the page file??? i forget I have had this problem for about 2 months now so i forget some of this stuff I tried
Nothing worked so i got all "RAWR" n i reinstalled the OS, same problem. So i reinstalled on a diffrent HD, same problem. SO! I tried a diffrent OS Windows home(on bolth HD's) Same problem. So i tried a diffrent Modem and bysassing router, no help. So just to see I install Lynix or what ever it is. NO PROBLEM!! everything works great but!!! It's lynix!! Sorry i need my games!!!! I want to use my windows So I reinstalled windows on my main hd and just gave up (all my games and Downloads, with the exeption of adobe flash player grrr work fine) oh also i tried all the diffrent browsers too.

What are your network settings? You have DHCP enabled? You are allowing the router to assign the IP and the DNS servers? Try overriding the DNS server in your network connection properties with a generic DNS server. For testing I use one that is easy to remember - 4.2.2.2 . It's not your fastest option but it is useful to see if DNS is causing your issue.

If that helps then you can see what alternate DNS servers your provider has or you can find a faster alternate DNS server.
