rar file software?

I sometimes download things for photoshop projects that are .rar files.

My problem is i have no software to deal with the file type so it either says go online to find a program for it or select a program from the ones i have installed.

Is there a program out there for free that i can get so i can use the .rar files?

 

.rar files have been compressed like a .zip file, but they are compressed using WinRAR compression. There are many free programs that will extract RAR files...

When installing TUGZip, just click 'next' all the thru until you see a window that has a list running vertically down the left side. Under that list you'll see a "select all" button, click it, and finish the installation. You will then see a TUGZip explorer window, just close it. Browse to your RAR file, right click it, and choose which extract option you want... it's easy. TUGZip supports just about any compression standard that you're likely to encounter. I have never found a compressed file that TUGZip couldn't handle.
